Background.
EZT has reactivated my interest in live shows,
so I got my box of tapes down from the loft and found this and thought
I should share.
I remember this being a cracking show. The tape is pretty decent for an
audience recording of this era - a few of my mates talk a bit through the first
song, but they soon got the message to shut up.
There is a rapid fade out after Monkey gone to heaven, as I flipped the tape
in anticipation of more songs. However, from memory I don't think they played any more, which
explains why I have taped another band (Jasmine Minks live anyone!) on the other side.
Perhaps someone could confirm this. I know they played these same songs at Nottingham the day before,
but played another 8 songs after Monkey gone to heaven - it is possible that I forgot to start recording
when I flipped the tape.
I only made copies for a couple of mates at the time, so I have doubts as to whether this ever
got widely circulated.
