Tape story:
The venue is an amazing historic castle (see very good pictures on the official Portishead website).
I have located myself in the center, about 35 m from the stage.
Many people were around me: a quite crowd anyway, as required to enjoy Portishead at its best. Just few Spanish (?) behind me occasionally talking loudly
The sound is very good. Imho one of the best recordings I have done.
What about the show?
It was my first Portishead concert and I enjoyed a lot.
The setlist is mainly based on Three (8 tunes + Chase The Tear) and Dummy (5 tunes).
Technical notes:
- The total running time of the recording was 1:31:27; I have cut the first 5 secs and last useless 30 secs reducing the master to 1:30:51
- I have amplified the whole recording (+3.0 dB on the left channel, +2.0 dB on the right channel), faded-in the first 5 secs and faded-out the last 10 secs
- A small defect at 2:18 of track 15 ("Threads"). Maybe someone (me?) hit the cap on the right side.
- If you burn to audio CD, you will need 2 CDs (CD1: 1-16; CD2: 17-18)
Please do not sell nor convert to mp3 for distribution (mp3 only for personal use!)
