The source of these flac files is a rip of "Birthday Bash", which was posted by newyorkdoll on DIME on November 24, 2006. Thanks to newyorkdoll for sharing the boot. The bootleg is poorly tracked, with several tracks containing two songs. I decoded the flacs to wav, joined the wavs with shntool, then used CD Wave to split the joined wav into tracks. I edited out three seconds from the original flac files, as the end of original track 15 is repeated at the beginning of original track 16. Here is the way it's tracked on the "Birthday Bash" boot: 01 Loudmouth / Beat On The Brat 02 Blitzkrieg Bop / I Remember You 03 Glad To See You Go / Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment 04 You're Gonna Kill That Girl 05 I Don't Care 06 Sheena Is A Punk Rocker / Rockaway Beach 07 Commando 08 Here Today, Gone Tomorrow 09 Surfin' Bird 10 Cretin Hop / Listen To My Heart 11 California Sun 12 I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You / Pinhead 13 break before encore 14 Suzy Is A Headbanger 15 Chain Saw / Today Your Love, Tomorrow The World 16 break before second encore 17 Now I Want To Be A Good Boy / Let's Dance Here are newyorkdoll's comments from the November 2006 torrent: SBD recording from CD!! This is a top-notch, soundboard "must have" show for Ramoniacs like myself. I believe that it was originally pressed on vinyl in a limited quantity of 100 copies but this version is from a copied CD from bootleg label, Exile Records out of Germany. Unfortunately this show is incomplete and is missing the final six songs but the sound quality - although a bit rough - is still superior to the vinyl version that an L.A. collector friend of mine has on vinyl and used to play for me throughout the 90's. This was a seminal show in Los Angeles and bands like Black Flag & the Adolescents started in the wake of this gig! My notes: I believe this might be an FM recording, rather than a SBD. In any event, it's not the greatest SBD/FM recording you'll ever hear, but it's a smoking performance and the sound quality is good, but not great.--craig62 Notes from Javier Diaz' defunct (?) Ramones site: 10/21/77 Whisky A Go-Go - Hollywood, CA Notes: More was played after 'Let's Dance'. This show is often mislabeled as 11/24/77 or 08/10/77 Version 2 of the soundboard audio is missing everything before 'Commando' and everything after 'Today Your Love, Tomorrow The World' Sources: Soundboard Audio, version 1 (incomplete) / B+ / 55 min / Los Angeles 1977 CD Soundboard Audio, version 2 (incomplete) / A- / 30 min / Weaselface CD Releases: Birthday Bash CD, Los Angeles 1977 CD, Weaselface CD Setlist (incomplete): Loudmouth / Beat On The Brat / Blitzkrieg Bop / I Remember You / Glad To See You Go / Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment / You're Gonna Kill That Girl / 53rd & 3rd [actually "I Don't Care"]/ Sheena Is A Punk Rocker / Rockaway Beach / Commando / Here Today, Gone Tomorrow / Surfin' Bird / Cretin Hop / Listen To My Heart / California Sun / I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You / Pinhead / Suzy Is A Headbanger / Chain Saw / Today Your Love, Tomorrow The World / Now I Wanna Be A Good Boy / Let's Dance
